The character of a property is influenced not only by its location but also by its elevation, surrounding landscape, and connection with nature. Located in Desa Lumbung Kauh, Selemadeg Barat, Drago Wijaya Estate is positioned within the green countryside of West Bali. The estate is surrounded by village landscapes, agricultural areas, tropical vegetation, and views toward Bali’s mountainous interior.
Based on the current project measurements, the main entrance of Drago Wijaya Estate is located at approximately 427 metres above sea level, while the villa plot area is recorded at approximately 257 metres above sea level. These elevation figures reflect the varied natural terrain found around the estate and contribute to its distinctive setting in Selemadeg Barat.
Understanding Elevation Above Sea Level
Elevation above sea level describes how high a location is compared with the average level of the ocean. Properties at a higher elevation may offer a different atmosphere from low-lying coastal areas. Depending on the surrounding terrain and weather conditions, elevated locations may experience more open views, natural airflow, cooler mornings, and a greater connection with the surrounding hills and countryside. However, elevation alone does not determine temperature, wind, drainage, or visibility.
These conditions are also influenced by vegetation, rainfall, building orientation, land contours, and seasonal weather patterns. At Drago Wijaya Estate, the elevation works together with the natural environment of Lumbung Kauh to create a peaceful residential atmosphere away from Bali’s densely developed areas.
The Main Entrance at Approximately 427 Metres
According to the current project information, the main entrance of Drago Wijaya Estate is positioned at approximately 427 metres above sea level. The entrance faces northeast, opening toward the wider landscape and mountainous areas of Bali. On clear days, the surrounding direction may provide visibility toward several recognised mountain areas, including:
- Mount Agung
- Mount Abang
- Mount Batur
- Mount Batukaru
Mountain visibility will depend on the weather, cloud cover, vegetation, and the exact viewing position within the estate. The elevated entrance creates a distinctive first impression, introducing visitors to the natural setting before they continue toward the residential areas.
Villa Plots at Approximately 257 Metres
The villa plot area is currently recorded at approximately 257 metres above sea level. This elevation still places the residential area within the countryside environment of Selemadeg Barat, surrounded by greenery, plantations, village landscapes, and agricultural land. The plots are planned as part of a private residential estate where buyers can create a custom villa based on the agreed specifications.
Each standard villa concept includes approximately:
- 200 m² of land
- 110 m² of building area
- Two en-suite bedrooms
- One guest toilet
- Family living room
- Dining area with kitchen set
- Private swimming pool measuring 2.5 × 5.5 metres
The elevation and natural surroundings help give each residence a stronger sense of place within West Bali.
A Landscape with Natural Character
Drago Wijaya Estate is not designed as a densely built residential complex. The estate covers approximately 10,250 m², with around 40% planned for private residential units and approximately 60% dedicated to facilities, landscaping, and nature-based areas.
The planned estate concept includes:
- Jogging track
- Bicycle paths
- Small lake
- Fish ponds
- Vegetable gardens
- Fruit orchards
- Rice fields
- Chicken farming area
- Bore-well water supply
These elements are intended to complement the natural contours and countryside character of the location. Rather than separating residents from the surrounding environment, the estate aims to make greenery, outdoor spaces, and agricultural features part of everyday living.
Fresh Air and Seasonal Temperatures
The elevated countryside setting also complements the seasonal climate of Selemadeg Barat.
From June to August, the region may experience cooler conditions, particularly during the night and early morning. Based on the current climate information collected for the project, temperatures during this period may range from approximately 20°C to 23°C. These cooler conditions are influenced by Bali’s dry season and seasonal air moving from Australia, which experiences winter during the same period.
From September to May, temperatures generally range from approximately 23°C to 32°C, creating warmer tropical conditions with seasonal changes in rainfall and humidity. Actual temperatures may vary from day to day depending on weather, elevation, wind, and rainfall.
A Setting for Outdoor Living
The natural elevation and open landscape support the outdoor lifestyle planned for Drago Wijaya Estate. Residents may enjoy morning walks, jogging, cycling, gardening, or simply spending time outdoors within the estate. The atmosphere may be especially pleasant during early mornings and evenings, when temperatures are generally more comfortable and the surrounding countryside becomes quieter.
This setting can appeal to people looking for:
- A private home surrounded by nature
- A quieter alternative to South Bali
- A second home in West Bali
- Greater space and privacy
- A residence close to beaches and countryside attractions
Between the Mountains and the Coast
Although Drago Wijaya Estate is located within an elevated inland environment, it remains within convenient driving distance of the West Bali coastline. Balian Beach is approximately 10 to 15 minutes from the estate based on current project information. The natural attractions around Nagasari are also located nearby.
This allows residents to experience two different sides of West Bali: peaceful countryside living and convenient access to the coast. A morning can begin with fresh air and mountain views around the estate, followed by an afternoon near the ocean at Balian Beach.
A Distinctive Place to Build a Home
The elevation of Drago Wijaya Estate adds another dimension to its residential concept. With the main entrance recorded at approximately 427 metres above sea level and the villa plots at approximately 257 metres above sea level, the estate follows the varied natural landscape of Lumbung Kauh.
Combined with custom villa design, green facilities, a seasonal cooler climate, and proximity to Balian Beach, the location offers a distinctive setting for private living in West Bali. Prospective buyers are encouraged to visit the estate directly to experience the land, surroundings, views, access, and atmosphere in person.
